libafterstep1 software package provides shared libraries for the AfterStep window manager, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libafterstep1
libafterstep1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libafterstep1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libafterstep1 *
You will get with libafterstep1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
